Over the summer we had three successful webinars giving insights on the METIS project covering topics of interest relating to innovation in tools and methods for seismic risk assessment of nuclear power plants.
Topics covered so far:
June:
Introductory webinar METIS project coordinator Irmela Zentner gave an overview of this project including key achievements to date.
Marco Pagani from our partner GEM (Global Earthquake Model Foundation) gave a presentation on new and improved tools for PSHA implemented in the OpenQuake Engine in the context of the METIS project.
In July, Graeme Weatherill from our partners GFZ presented the new Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment (PSHA) Testing toolkit for comparing PSHA results to observations.

Shortly we will be restarting this webinar series covering the following topics: Code_aster implementation of case study, Aftershock Testbed and CS-approach: tools & applications. Look out for some invitations to follow soon!
