Exciting first in-person METIS 2nd Plenary meeting for Horizon 2020 Euratom project

plenary metis

This is the second plenary meeting, following the first plenary meeting that was held fully virtually in April 2021. It was a hybrid project meeting (mix of in-person and virtual participants) held over two days 22nd-23rd November 2021 and attended by 50 participants. Since the start of the project, this is the first meeting which has been held in-person.

On the first day, all the WP leaders shared their updates since the last meeting by giving presentations. All milestones achieved so far are as follows: kick-off meeting, detailed work plan, constitution and first meeting of external advisory board, constitution of end users survey and exploitation of responses, and the METIS case study being defined. The second day was dedicated to special working sessions to develop a framework for the consideration of aftershocks in seismic probabilistic risk assessment and fort the propagation of uncertainty in site response and soil-structure interaction analysis.
